INTERVIEW W SOPHIE MCINTYRE [FOUNDER, CLUB SUP]
What is something that has changed your perception of beauty?
Growing up/ maturing, meeting a lot more people with different looks. I grew up in what I realise now was a very conservative part of QLD and I don’t think I met anyone with red hair or even curly hair like mine. It wasn’t until I moved to Melbourne I realised how many people looked different it was inspiring. Now I think my hair and its colour are the things I love the most, I have just fully embraced it.
What was the last song you listened to and what have you got on repeat?
If I Could Change Your Mind – Haim
The entire Brat album is on repeat
What does your skincare routine look like?
It is very basic with high quality ingredients focusing on exfoliation and hydration. So skin sponge is on high rotation along with the deep blue c for dull wintery skin. My routine is also more holistic – a good sleep, walking, eating as well as possible and a sauna/ steam when I can. Melbourne is so dry and cold in winter it is good to go get the blood pumping.
What’s your ride or die skincare routine or beauty product?
SPF for life – I will not leave the house without it.
What/who inspires your perception of beauty?
I think all the people that I meet at Club Sup – They show me nearly every day that beauty as a human is not external. It is how you carry yourself or speak to others and about yourself. Everything else is white noise.
Have there been any specific moments since beginning Club Sup that has challenged or shifted your beauty ideals?
Yes absolutely – I think it a world where we can do anything we want to alter or enhance beauty its amazing to be exposed to real people day in day out. As I said previously, beauty is who you are and how you treat others.
