Recycling Guidelines
Box
Our boxes are made from FSC Certified cardboard and can disposed of in your home recycling bin.
Foile Bottles
Our signature bottles are designed with longevity in mind, allowing them to be refilled time and time again with your favourite Foile products. We also encourage you to repurpose your bottles at home. Should you wish to dispose of your bottle you can drop off at a local TerraCycle location. Find a local TerraCycle drop off location here.
Lid & Pump
You can return these to us at any point as part of our packaging returns & loop program or they can be recycled through TerraCycle allowing your used skincare packaging to be sorted, processed and transformed into something new. Find a local TerraCycle drop off location here.
Refill Pouches
The most viable option to Foile at this time is to offer our customers access to refill pouches to reduce environmental impact along with offering a returns program where we can sterilise and reuse our pouches in our production line. Learn more about our returns program here. Alternatively refill pouches can be recycled through TerraCycle.
Packing Tape
Our custom water-activated tape is made from FSC-certified materials. It is both home-compostable and curb-side recyclable after use.
Mailer Boxes and Satchels
Made from 100% craft paper and can be recycled in your paper bin at home. They are also fully biodegradable should you wish to compost at home. The stamps on the boxes are soy-based inks.
Packaging loop and returns.
We are mindful of our carbon footprint and are committed to moving towards a circular beauty model. The most viable option to Foile at this time is to offer our customers access to refill pouches to reduce environmental impact along with offering a returns program where we can sterilise and reuse our pouches in our production line. We will accept any returned Foile packaging. As a thank you for being involved in our Foile Returns initiative you will be rewarded with a $10 voucher to use on your next order once you ship back your items to us.
Alternatively should you not wish to post back your packaging components, they can be dropped to any local Terracycle drop off location for recycling.
How to Return
- When you receive your Foile order, store your box / satchel away somewhere and start collecting any refill pouches, pumps, lids or bottles. We recommend that you wait until you have 3-4 empty pouches before returning back to us to minimise freight miles.
- Once your box / satchel is full, submit a request form here (insert link) and we will email you a prepaid post label that can be printed at any Australia Post office.
- Returned pouches will be sterilised and cleaned when they arrive back at our manufacturing facilities. All other packaging will be recycled responsibly at Terracycle. Once we receive your return you will receive your $10 credit voucher via confirmation email.
