CHRISTINE LAFIAN SUKU HOME FOILE SKINCARE BEAUTY PERCEPTIONS

INTERVIEW W CHRISTINE LAFIAN [FOUNDER, SUKU]

What is something that has changed your perception of beauty?
Back home in Indonesia, the majority perceive beauty as pale skin, big eyes, and being skinny. Moving overseas and meeting different types of people allowed me to see beauty in different forms. Once I learned that beauty is not just about what you look like but also about what's inside and how you carry yourself, I freed myself from the old toxic idea of beauty.

What was the last song you listened to?
Satellite of Love by Lou Reed

What does your skincare routine look like?
I tried to keep it pretty simple at the moment during winter. I usually cleanse, toner or essence, serum, oil, moisturiser and lots of sunscreen. I also do LED light therapy at home almost every day.

What's your ride or die skincare or beauty product?
Sun screen. I felt guilty leaving home without it.

What/who inspires your perception of beauty?
Anyone who is confident and has depth beyond mere appearance.
